Last Saturday, January 20, we enjoyed an unforgettable evening in one of Uruguay's most scenic wineries: Alto de la Ballena, with a dreamy sunset, surrounded by the Laguna del Sauce and the Sierras de la Ballena.
We were warmly welcomed by the winery's director, Paula Pivel, and her right-hand man, Pablo Ricciardi, along with the entire wonderful team at the winery. They meticulously prepared our visit, paying careful attention to details, making us feel more than special.
We indulged in a wide variety of delicacies, starting with a reception featuring local empanadas and cheeses, assorted cold cuts, nuts, olives, country-style pâté, olive oils, artisanal bread, and many more local delights. Later, we were pleasantly surprised with a live cooking demonstration by the "Juan y Cristina!" restaurant, including their exclusive Black River sturgeon cooked on wine barrel staves. All complemented by a great selection of their Premium wines.
To enhance the incredible experience, the weather was on our side, gifting us a picture-perfect sunset and a beautiful night that allowed us to enjoy the outdoors on their deck overlooking the hills.
But what made this night truly unique was the amazing energy of everyone present. We were joined by people from different parts of the world, as is customary in our events, with a significant local audience as well. So, thanks to them for making this night possible, with an impressive turnout.
We are happy and grateful for this dreamy night.
