On Saturday, November 9, we celebrated World Wine Tourism Day at Bodega Fripp, a family-run winery that we absolutely love!
It is located in Conchillas, in the city of Colonia, about 2.5 hours from Montevideo.
Among the wine varieties they currently produce, under the direction of winemaker Daniel Cis, are Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Marselan.
We were warmly welcomed by Leandro Fripp, who shared the story of his family, the winery's renovation projects, and their future plans. Above all, we connected with the passion that drives him and his family to bring this project to life.
After the tour, we had the pleasure of inaugurating their new eno-gastronomic proposal in their renovated restaurant and visitor’s hall.
It was a beautiful, intimate, and special experience—the kind we love as true explorers.
A heartfelt thank you to Leandro and the wonderful team at Fripp for welcoming us so warmly.
And of course, infinite thanks to the friends who joined us from various parts of the world. We love that each experience feels as enriching as traveling without needing to board a plane.
Until the next adventure. Cheers!
